🍀 Lukiih’s Verdict
Watching a soccer game in Cuscatlán Stadium is not a must-do, but it’s a fun event if you have a free night in San Salvador.
- The stadium hosts World Cup qualification matches and local club games. Alianza FC, the local team from San Salvador, frequently plays there and while the stadium is not always full, the crowd is rowdy and lively. I’m not a soccer fan and enjoyed watching a local game.
- The experience is affordable. You can buy soccer game tickets here. I paid $9 for my tickets and the game was from 8 to 10 pm on a Thursday.
- Very minimal preparation is required. For non-international games, you can buy tickets at the last minute. I bought mine about 3 minutes before the game. If you want to support the local Alianza FC team, you can wear white or light blue.
